Emily was born and raised in the Lake District of England. She and her partner travelled to New Zealand five years ago, after a trip here saw them fall in love with our happy-go-lucky attitudes, the scenery, and the weather, so they decided to stay.

Emily says she was drawn to the culture of the Origin Fire team, their diversity and how happily everyone works together. As the Office Manager, Emily’s focus is very much on accounts, and during the busy part of the month you will find her with her head down checking and sending out invoices, chasing debtors, updating customer information and reconciling payments.

She says the best part about her role is having the flexibility to utilise her skill-set in different areas such as marketing, systems and operations, and staff training.

When she’s not working, Emily enjoys painting, reading, baking, gaming, and making short films. She lives by the phrase “Tuwhitia te hopo” meaning to feel the fear and do it anyway!
