Co-owner of Origin Fire, Wendy has been with the company since its inception in 2001, starting with bookwork and evolving through HR and Operations roles, eventually becoming the Financial Controller. She deems herself “part of the furniture” at Origin Fire, having been with the company for over two decades.

In her current role, Wendy liaises with the finance administrator and accountant to keep the company’s financial details in order. She looks forward to working on the company’s succession plan, which will provide younger employees the opportunity to take on more leadership and business responsibilities. Wendy gets immense satisfaction from seeing a system gain a life of its own and enjoys holding people accountable during the implementation and maintenance phases to ensure successful results.

A career highlight for Wendy has been meeting great people who have contributed to the company’s success. She enjoys the company culture she has helped to cultivate and sharing her accumulated knowledge. Outside of work, Wendy enjoys getting outdoors, vege gardening, and small-scale renovation projects.

Wendy’s personal motto is “People, plants, and planet,” emphasising the importance of looking after the planet in order to care for both plants and people.
