More space, group gathering areas, finer views, better indoor-outdoor flow, greater convenience at dinner times. Sound like a check list for your next home?
These are just some of the advantages the orang-utans, Sumatran tigers, crab-eating macaque and small clawed otters at Auckland Zoo might also be looking forward to after renovations at their place. And Origin Fire is looking forward to collaborating with all those looking to help make the new home for these South East Asian animals as safe as the latest fire protection thinking and technology will allow.
Right now the South East Asia Project is a wonderfully creative collection of drawings, options and dreams, but already these plans promise an innovative and inspirational new space for dwellers and visitors alike.
Michael James says his team is really looking forward to working on this project. “From a fire engineering perspective protecting the animals from the effects of fire and smoke will provide some interesting challenges”.
