The New Year has ushered in the Year of the Pig. In the Chinese zodiac each year is assigned an animal in a repeating 12-year cycle. After the Rat, the Ox, the Tiger, the Rabbit, the Dragon, the Snake, the Horse, the Goat, the Monkey, the Rooster and the Dog, the Pig is the twelfth animal in the 12-year cycle. There are five types of Pigs, metal, water, wood, fire and earth and so there are five Pig years in every sixty – year cycle. This year the final year in the cycle, is the zodiac year of the Earth Pig.

We’re excited about this Year of the Pig. While there are some not so polite things that can be said about a pig, we’re focusing on the positives. The pig we’re welcoming represents good fortune, wealth, honesty, and prosperity. The pig we’re welcoming symbolises a hard- working, a peace-loving person, someone who is truthful, reliable and sincere, and a person who is sociable, with a large sense of humour and understanding. These are some of the values and attributes we enjoy within our team.

On the business front 2019 augurs well too. According to Chinese astrology 2019 will be a great year to make money, and a good year to invest. The Year of the Pig 2019 will be a year of fortune.

And so – we wish you all a very enterprising, rewarding and prosperous 2019.
